Our Story
Toxin Awareness Starts With a Question
Toxin awareness wasn’t something I planned to build a platform around — it began with my own struggle with eczema, acne, and sensitive skin.
For years, I tried the products dermatologists recommended. I tried what influencers swore by. I bought what was labeled “for sensitive, acne-prone skin.”
Nothing created lasting change.
Eventually, I began asking a deeper question:
What if the issue wasn’t just my skin — but the ingredients in the products I was using every single day?
That question led me into ingredient research, label reading, and understanding how everyday product formulations may contribute to irritation, congestion, and long-term exposure concerns.
That was the beginning of my journey into toxin awareness.
When Ingredient Research Changed Everything
Once I began reading labels and researching ingredients, everything shifted.
I discovered that many products marketed as clean beauty or safe for sensitive skin still contained ingredients that may not work for everyone. Some acne-targeted formulas included potentially pore-clogging ingredients. Others contained fragrance blends or preservatives that can trigger irritation for certain skin types.
The bigger realization wasn’t just about skincare.
It was about awareness.
Most people aren’t taught how to evaluate ingredient lists. We’re taught to trust packaging and branding — not to question what’s inside.
The more I learned about environmental toxins and ingredient transparency, the more I realized:
Consumers don’t lack discipline.
They lack accessible information.
And that information gap is where toxin awareness becomes powerful.
From Overwhelmed to Intentional
At first, learning about toxins in everyday products felt overwhelming. There can be a real moment of shock when you realize how many products in your home contain ingredients you’ve never heard of — let alone researched.
But fear wasn’t the answer.
Perfection wasn’t realistic either.
Instead of trying to eliminate everything overnight, I focused on building practical toxin awareness:
Reading labels more carefully.
Swapping products slowly.
Supporting smaller brands that prioritize transparency.
Choosing progress over perfection.
That shift — from overwhelm to intentional living — changed not just my skin, but how I approached everything I bring into my home.
